Alexa McBride is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, having earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Alexa has a deep commitment to supporting individuals through their healing journeys, employing a trauma-informed and psychodynamic, client-centered approach. Alexa prioritizes ensuring that each client feels safe, valued, and respected, regardless of their cultural background, sexualities, belief systems, or lived experiences. By maintaining unconditional positive regard, Alexa creates a welcoming environment where clients can explore and challenge their maladaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear of judgment. 

At the core of her therapeutic philosophy is the belief that a strong connection to one’s emotional experiences is essential for growth and healing. Alexa aims to guide clients through a mindful journey of developing insight and understanding their emotions, helping them to navigate the unique complexities of their inner worlds. This process not only fosters self-awareness but also serves as an intentional foundation for grounding, resilience, and skills utilization during challenging times.Alexa’s approach is rooted in empathy and compassion, empowering clients to show up as their authentic selves to confront deeply personal pain points that exist within. She has experience working with a number of high acuity clients at the treatment center level of care. Alexa has served clients with diverse, intersectional identities, including but not limited to neurodivergent folks, LGBTQIA+ identities, and BIPOC individuals.
